What the college says
The aim of Sociology, across the key stages, is to develop students' criticality on a variety of issues relating to society and the individual. In Sociology we develop students' abilities to write discursively encompassing an understanding of theoretical approaches and sociological method which is applied through historical and contemporary examples drawn from a variety of sources.
What you need to get on
Hold a minimum of five 9-4 GCSE qualifications and at least 1 Grade 6 in a Humanities subject at GCSE and Grade 6 in English Literature or English Language.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
