What the college says

A Level Sociology studies the complex interrelationship between individuals and social groups and looks to understand why there seem to be patterns of behaviour and what determines them. We will study the family and its role, both historically and in contemporary society, education and whether we live in a true meritocracy, crime and deviance, looking at why some people are criminal and what factors cause criminality. We also consider theories of society and how the relevant data is obtained.
