Sociology is a relevant and exciting subject that throws new light onthe world we live in. It is a social science that seeks to discover andexplain how the institutions around us affect the way we behaveboth as individuals and communities.Within sociology, students are given the opportunity to share theirthoughts on how the world works, whist analysing and evaluatingthe theories offered by a number of key individuals and perspectives.Students are able to enjoy a wide variety of lessons and gain key skillsas both independent and group learners. Throughout the coursestudents are also offered opportunities to undertake their ownresearch and are regularly encouraged to present this work to thegroup.If you are someone who enjoys being given the chance to expressyour feelings on the key modern issues within society, then sociologyis the subject choice for you!
