Sociology is a popular subject at St Paul's and the students enjoy the lessons. Sociology is the study of societies and unlike other disciplines, it looks at how people live, behave and work together in groups. It asks questions about the world that we live in and tries to explain why it is the way it is. It is a fascinating subject and will allow the you the opportunity to discuss and research a variety of topics of interest such as crime , family and youth subculture. In other words every day subjects which play a part in everyone's lives.
What you need to get on
Five GCSEs grade 4 and above, including English & Maths. Minimum of Grade 5 in English Language GCSE.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
What this level means
The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
