About the course Students develop knowledge in the physiological and the psychological factors that can affect, improve and develop sports performance. Students will also develop knowledge of contemporary issues within PE and sport, and will gain an insight into the detailed analysis of sports performance. There will be practical / written coursework as well as examinations at the end of the course. *Please note that in order to excel within the practical component of the course, regular competitive participation within sport (as a performer or coach) is highly recommended. Externally gained video footage of performance/coaching must be submitted.

What you need to get on

5 GSCE Grade 4-9, including English Language and Mathematics, GCSE Grade 5 in Physical Education / BTEC equivalent and a GCSE grade 5 in Science. Pupils must also regularly take part / compete in at least one sporting activity outside of school at a high level. OPTION BLOCK B

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
