This is a course designed for people who wish to work in a position that supports teaching and learning in schools, colleges, universities or the community. The qualification covers both knowledge and practical skills needed to work in teaching support roles. A placement is required, in an appropriate setting, to ensure that you can develop the practical skills for this qualification. The placement will run alongside the college session and should commence at the start of the course. You will be visited in the workplace by an assessor who will judge your competency over the practical criteria.
