What you need to get on

It is recommended that applicants have achieved GCSE at 3 grade in English and mathematics and have gained a good reference from school or from a person other than a family member. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate the potential to act independently and safely, therefore all candidates must be interviewed, and receive a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure Barring Service). Entry onto any course at East Durham College is subject to final approval from the Assistant Principal. Where relevant, the term ‘entry requirements’ also includes DBS checks, references, fitness to practice, etc.
