A-Level Mathematics is a stimulating and rewarding course. Your studies at GCSE will have given you an insight into a beautiful mathematical world of pattern and logic, your Advanced-Level studies will continue and further expand this journey. It is a qualification that is highly respected by Higher Education institutions and future employers alike, demonstrating your skills of logic and deduction, as well as academic ability. You will study pure mathematics and examine concepts that underpin many real-life applications. These units extend your understanding of key GCSE topics such as algebra and trigonometry. The study of statistics enables you to make sense of information and supports the understanding of many other subjects such as Psychology and Geography. Mechanics is a fundamental branch of mathematics; topics such as kinematics, forces and Newton's Laws are studied and will develop your knowledge of physics. The skills that you will acquire on the course are relevant to a wide range of subjects at both A-Level and degree level, as well as providing you with transferable skills to numerous careers and vocations.
