Mathematics is at the core of education; in an ever more technologically driven society a good grasp of the fundamentals of Mathematics is essential. The subject is fascinating in its own right but it also underpins a multitude of other subjects and forms a key qualification for entry to many University courses. Mathematics presents a challenge to the intellect and at A-Level is not for the faint hearted. However, for those students who choose to meet the challenge the rewards, both intellectually and in terms of enhanced career prospects, are considerable.

What you need to get on

To be considered for the course we will require a minimum of a 7 in GCSE Mathematics (Students who do attain a 6 will only be considered under exceptional circumstances)

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
