What the college says
The A-Level course studies six modules of Mathematics: four Pure Maths Modules and two Applied Maths Modules. The Pure Mathematics Modules are the Core of the course and extend the study of Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry and introduce Calculus. The course supports A-Level subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Economics. The Applied Mathematics Modules include Mechanics (using Maths to solve Physics problems), Statistics (using Maths to analyse data) and Decision Maths (using Maths to solve business problems using networks).
What you need to get on
Grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics (1-9). Entry is at the discretion of the Head of Mathematics.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
