MATHS There are 3 units in Maths at A2 level; Pure 1, Pure 2 and Applied 1. P1 and P2 are Pure Mathematics units where students cover the basic ideas of calculus, co-ordinate geometry and vectors. The Applied Mathematics unit covers Mechanics and Statistics. The Mechanics element deals with the laws which govern the ways in which objects move, whilst the Statistics component will give a greater insight into how data and probability are used in the real world. In addition, we also offer A Level Further Mathematics. This will be comprised of Pure Maths, Further Statistics and/or Further Mechanics.
