What the college says

C1 builds on GCSE knowledge of Surds, Equations of straight lines, Inequalities, an introduction to Differentiation and Curve Sketching. C2 includes Equations of circles, Logarithms, Geometric Series and Solving Trigonometric Equations. S1 builds on GCSE level statistics with new areas such as Regression, Discrete Random Variables and the Normal Distribution. Year 13 expands on the topics covered at AS with more Differentiation in C3, Trigonometric Identities, Functions and Numerical Methods. In C4 a deeper treatment of integration is seen together with setting up and solving Differential Equations. A Mechanics (Forces / Motion / Moments) or Decision module (Critical Path Analysis / Linear Programming / Networks) is also studied.

Minimum TPS of 42, and the specific subject requirements (Grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics, a Grade 7 is highly recommended)

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
