If the mysteries of our universe fascinate you, if the world about you and how it works captures your imagination, then studying Physics could be perfect for you.At Holy Cross we have a wide-ranging course which has received great feedback from the students who have studied with us.What we?ll studyThe opportunity to explore, to gain a greater understanding of how our world works now includes an on-site glimpse into the wonders of our solar system, because we are proud to have our own professional standard roof-top observatory. Only recently constructed, this asset is one of the out-of-the-laboratory activities our students experience. For the past five years, we have run annual visits to the world?s largest and most powerful particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva.The course we follow gives many examples of how physics is applied in the outside world. Topics covered include: the physics of sport, bungee jumping, air crash investigation and the wave patterns of different musical instruments.As a student with us you will also discover the mysteries of particle physics, magnetism and nuclear physics.

What you need to get on

GCSE Physics grade 6 or above. GCSE Combined Science grade 6/6.GCSE Maths grade 6 or above. Average GCSE score of 5.50.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
