A LEVEL PHYSICS Physics comes from the Greek word physika which refers to the very nature of things ? it is at the heart of all technology development, space research, material science, engineering and more recently artificial intelligence.Physics students will learn the intricacies of how the world works, covering topics from particle physics in the micro range to astronomy in the macro range. Students will also learn about the discoveries of famous scientists such as: Archimedes, Aristotle, Curie, Einstein, Fleming, Galileo, Hubble, Newton, Planck, Rutherford and Tesla and examine their impact on the world today.

What you need to get on

An Attainment 8 score of 50+ to follow an A Level programme of study. Grade 5+ or better must be achieved in English, a Grade 7+ in Mathematics and a Grade 6 in Physics or 6-6 in Combined Science to be considered.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
