This course is ideal if you wish to enter careers within the Health or Social sectors. You will study a range of topics in Heath and Social Care, such as communication, creative therapies, anatomy & physiology and the impact of diet on health.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 2 programme) or Level 1 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 1 programme (progressing learners).

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
