This course provides you with the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to work with a care setting. You will gain valuable vocational experience through a supervised work placement in a variety of Health and Social Care setings.
What you need to get on
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 9 - 3 including a grade 4 in either maths or English and a Level 1 qualification (with an opportunity to retake only one core GCSE). A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
