Areas covered include Understanding child and young person development, Context and principles for early years provision, Promoting the well being and resilience of children and young people and Supporting children and young people to achieve their education potential.
What you need to get on
There are no formal entry requirements although candidates should have the ability to manage the requirements of the level of the qualification; candidates will be required to undertake the Initial Assessments before confirmation of place on course.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
