Want to work with horses but need a supported starting point? You will mix theory with lots of time on the yard learning key routines such as mucking out rugging tack and feeding. Riding can be included but is not compulsory and the course builds the foundations for Level 2 progression.

Entry requirements for external applicants and school leavers • Two or more GCSEs at grade 2 or above, or successful completion of an Entry Level qualification. • Learners with relevant industry experience but no GCSEs at grade 2 may be considered based on interview. For some courses this may include GCSE English or maths grade 2 or equivalent. • Equine experience with riding and horse handling to be discussed at interview to determine appropriate starting point.
