The Level 1 Diploma in Land based Studies a specialist practical and vocational qualification.You learn by completing practical assessments, short written tests and written assignments. The course is designed to give you an insight into the practicalities and realities of working within an animal care organisation. The course offers a range of topic areas giving you an introduction to the skills needed when working in the animal care industry. You need to be prepared to work outside in all weathers to care for the welfare of animals

What you need to get on

A strong interest in working with animals with some experience being an an advantage although not essential. 4 GCSEs at grade 3-1 or Entry Level in Animal Care.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
