If your GCSE results did not go to plan and you still want an equine career this Level 1 route helps you restart with confidence. You will learn core horse care routines through hands-on sessions and build the knowledge needed to progress to Level 2.

Entry requirements for external applicants and school leavers • Two or more GCSEs at grade 2 or above, or successful completion of an Entry Level qualification. • Learners with relevant industry experience but no GCSEs at grade 2 may be considered based on interview. For some courses this may include GCSE English or maths grade 2 or equivalent. • Equine experience with riding and horse handling to be discussed at interview to determine appropriate starting point.
