During the Junior Chef Academy at Bronze Level, you will learn to develop knife skills, clean as you go and working safety. You will also learn a range of cooking methods, including boiling, steaming, frying and baking.The course gives you the opportunity to work in a professional kitchen to a high standard of health and safety under head chef instruction. You will develop your skillset of multi-tasking as dishes are prepared.This course will build your confidence and control of food process at one time and introduce you to cultural capital cuisine from all around the world, such as Mexico, Greece and Italy.The first week you will be measured for chef uniform and the uniform will be ordered from Russum’s - our uniform supplier. The fee of £80.00 has been waivered for this course*, your chef white jacket and apron and all ingredients required to cook delicious dishes on the course will be inlcuded. You will need to bring in an appropriate plastic sealed container each week to take home for your evening tea!On the final week an awards ceremony will be held in Horizons restaurant, where you will prepare and deliver a two course evening meal to family, friends and guests and receive completion certificates and appropriate badges. This will have a charge of £10 per person.Completion of the bronze course will allow you to progress onto the silver course commencing in October 2026 (TBC).This course is planned to run on a Tuesday each week during 2026, but this is subject to change a
