Serving Food and drink is work you can find almost anywhere, because people always need to eat. It can help you to get valuable life skills and work skills that can be used in all kinds of jobs, so is a real door-opener for opportunities. If you haven't made your mind up yet, this is the qualification for you. You can choose your focus as you go, either in serving or cooking. This level is ideal if you're just starting out and want a good basic understanding of hospitality work, enough to succeed in a job or move on to further study. You will need to purchase a uniform that should be worn at all times when in practical lessons. On interview you will be provided with a uniform list to view and costs discussed. You may be eligible for a college bursary to help you with these costs.

What you need to get on

You will need 4 GCSEs grade 2-3 or above including maths and English.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
