Let’s face it, History is EXCITING: politics, passion, betrayal, murder, violence, affairs, scandals, revenge and so on! It also makes you realise how our leaders today repeat the mistakes of the past and sometimes even learn from them. Main features of the course At Collingwood we offer both History at AS and A Level course. Please do note that the AS year covers half of the A Level content, but the AS exams do not contribute toward the A Level grade.
What you need to get on
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 (or equivalent) including History and English. Experience shows that your chances of success in this subject are greater if you have a Grade 6 in History and English Language.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
