The subject of History is undergoing some exciting changes, meaning you will have the opportunity to study some new topics covering at least 200 years of History. History is a fascinating subject which helps you to make sense of the past and its connections to the present thereby helping to understand the world we live in. The subject also enables you to develop valuable and transferable skills such as literacy, organising and planning research, analysis and evaluation.

What you need to get on

Must gain a Grade 5 or above in GCSE Geography or History if studied, as well as a Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language and English Literature.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
