What the college says

Health and social care is one of the largest employment sectors in the UK. You will learn on this Level 2 course about the care needs of a wide range of people of all ages and from all backgrounds. You will be able to put your new skills into practice during work placement opportunity. On completion of this programme you will have a nationally recognised qualification which can help you progress to the T Level Health (Adult Nursing) or the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care. Progression rates onto level 3 are high, due tot the support, encouragement and challenge that the level 2 students recieve from our dedicated team of specialist teachers.

What you need to get on

A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 3, including English and maths or successful completion of a related Level 1 qualification and good progress with English and maths.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
