Our vocationally experienced tutors will be on hand to deliver exciting and innovative lessons promoting active learning. You will be studying a variety of topics relating to Health and Social Care such as Equality, Diversity and Rights, Human Growth and Development, Working in Health and Social Care, Creative Activities and Nutrition. Your knowledge will be assessed through a variety of methods, academic posters, essays, role plays, simulations or practical tasks. You will be part of a study programme where you will be carrying out real work experience in a Health and Social Care setting of your choice. You will also be given further opportunities to enhance your maths and English skills, either through additional GCSE study sessions or through the embedding of vocational skills within your core subject.
What you need to get on
We require you to have a minimum of a grade 4 in English Language and 3 GCSE�s at a grade 3 to include maths. A current and up to date enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (carried out through South Staffordshire College) at a cost of �44.00. A suitable reference.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
