This course is for students who want to continue studying German after GCSE. It will suit you if you enjoy languages and want to develop your understanding of German culture and society. It takes time and dedication to become confident in a language so you'll need to put in hard work and be willing to persevere.
What you need to get on
An average overall GCSE point score of at least 6 from their top six GCSE subjects They must also acheive a minimum of grade 5 in English Language or Mathematics, with at least a grade 4 in the other of English Language or Mathematics. They are usually expected to achieve at least a grade 7 in the subjects they wish to pursue at A Level (or related subjects, as agreed by the school).

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
