This course in Art specialises in Fine Art (painting and drawing) using a wide range of media and processes. You will learn about important artists and the contributions they make to our understanding of art. In your study of art you will develop a greater understanding of art skills and techniques, how people use Art and respond to it. During the course there will be visits to galleries, exhibitions and to places for personal drawing and painting.

What you need to get on

Both internal and external pupils wishing to enter the sixth form will be expected to have met the same minimum academic entry requirements for the sixth form. This is a minimum of 3 GCSE grade 4s and grade 4 in English AND Maths. This course additionally requires grade 4 in GCSE Art and Design. Please note, we may adjust our offer each year.
