Chemistry provides a deep understanding of the material world. Starting with familiar concepts such as the structure of the atom and the periodic table, we look in ever increasing detail at the structure and properties of the world we inhabit. The course covers a range of topics within Chemistry including: Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical and Thermodynamic properties and Biochemistry.

What you need to get on

6 GCSE/BTEC passes at Level 4 or above. If you would like to study Chemistry at A-Level it is desirable for you to achieve a Level 6 or above in Chemistry at GCSE. In addition, you would also need a Level 5 in Maths.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
