A level Fine Art and Photography is now commonly regarded by employers and universities as a complex and demanding subject. If you study Fine Art or Photography at A Level, you show that you can be analytical, are willing to be challenged by practical and intellectual problems, can work independently, that you can research a subject thoroughly and bring it to a visual and written conclusion. A Level Art gives you the confidence to communicate your ideas in a wide range of exciting and innovative ways.

What you need to get on

You should have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at Grades 9-4 or equivalent including English and Maths for both Fine Art and Photography. You must also have a Grade 5 or above in GCSE Fine Art. If you wish to study Photography you need a grade 5 in GCSE Photography or Art. If you havent studied Art or Photography at GCSE but would like to choose one of the subjects for A Level you will need to complete a Skills test.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
