Sociology makes sense of human existence and human behaviour, focusing on the relationship of the individual to society. You will learn to challenge widely held assumptions about human behaviour and the cultural values which produce this behaviour. You will learn to interpret data and to analyse issues, as well as developing research skills. AS units covered will include ‘Families and Households’ and ‘Education with Research Methods’. In A2, units covered will include ‘Mass Media’ and ‘Crime and Deviance with Research Methods’.
