2 Year A Level By studying Physics students should develop an understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other to gain a deep appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of scientific methods involved in being a physicist. They will need a variety of practical, mathematical and problem-solving skills as well as an interest in and enthusiasm for the subject. They will develop an understanding of how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how physics contributes to the success of the economy and society.

What you need to get on

Five 6 - 9 grades at GCSE and a 5 in English Language. Combined Science students: Grade 7 in Combined Science. Separate Sciences: Grade 7 in GCSE single science Physics and Grade 7 in Maths GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
