To provide a stimulating, practical course where students can learn to use manual and digital cameras, darkroom equipment and ICT (image manipulation) effectively to produce their own creative work. This qualification will provide students with a comprehensive portfolio of photographic work needed for art college entry.

What you need to get on

The normal entry requirements for advanced courses apply including GCSE Art & Design at grade 4, although it is open to others with the necessary level of interest in creative / practical subjects such as media, product design, textiles and graphics. Knowledge and an interest of ICT and digital media are desirable. Candidates without these qualifications would be considered through a portfolio entry which must be submitted prior to starting the course.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
