Sociology is the study of society. At STAGS, Sociology is a popular A-Level course. Sociology helps students to develop a wide range of knowledge and understanding about society, including understanding of society's structures, processes and social issues. Sociology is exciting, interesting and relevant to students' lives, and helps students to understand and critically think about the world they live in. Sociology involves a wide breadth of transferable skills, including analytical and evaluative skills.

What you need to get on

We would expect you to achieve a Grade 6 or higher in GCSE English Literature or English Language. A GCSE in Sociology is not a requirement.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
