What the college says
Students will learn the fundamentals of Sociology and develop skills valued by higher education and employers, including critical analysis, independent thinking and research. The central focus of study in this course is on UK society today, with consideration given to comparative dimensions where relevant, including the siting of UK society within its globalised context.
What you need to get on
Grade 9-4 in at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths. Although desirable, it is not a requirement that you have studied Sociology before.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
