AQA A Level Sociology is designed for learners who are interested in understanding how society works and how social structures, institutions and relationships influence people’s lives. It is suitable for students who enjoy exploring current social issues, questioning assumptions, and developing well‑reasoned arguments supported by evidence. No prior study of sociology is required, although learners should be confident with reading, discussion and extended written work.
What you need to get on
5 9-4 GCSE, including a English and Maths at a grade 4 or above.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
