Physics is the study of the physical world, from the smallest particles to the biggest galaxies, and everything in between. The problem solving, analytical and reasoning skills that play an essential part in the study of A Level Physics, as well as the mathematical ability required, are all highly valued by employers across a wide range of fields. With a reputation as one of the most challenging A Level subjects, Physics is an excellent addition to any higher education or job application.
What you need to get on
Grade 6 in GCSE Physics, or 6-6 in Combined Science, plus a grade 5 in Mathematics. It is strongly recommended that you study A Level Mathematics alongside A Level Physics.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
