Physical Education allows students to play to their strengths and gain dynamic skills for further education and a healthy future. Students are taught to evaluate performance and suggest plans for improvement. The course also covers the benefits of healthy living alongside topics like the role of media in sport. There are regular assessments in order to monitor progress and target set. Practical assessments take place throughout the course and there is a large emphasis on students to collect DVD evidence in the sport or activity being assessed.

Grade 6 in Physical Education GCSE, Grade 5 in Biology or Combined Science and satisfactory academic and attitudinal references.
