What the college says
A Level Photography is a challenging subject where both creative and technical ability are important. You will learn how to see with a camera and express ideas through the photographic medium. The course is mostly practical but you will also document progress and research in a work journal. Various genres of photography will be studied, including portrait, still-life, landscape and documentary. There will be theory sessions as well as practical workshops, plus several visits to exhibitions. You will also be expected to work independently and you will have access to the Digital Media Suite in the Sixth Form and have your own camera, if possible.
