The course aims to extend and deepen your knowledge and application of Mathematics to aid problem-solving and modelling of real-life situations. The Statistics module explores the use of data in everyday life and links well with Life Sciences, such as Biology, Geography, Sociology and Psychology. The Mechanics module looks at the forces and motions used by us all in everyday situations and links well with Physics. You will develop your ability to analyse and interpret information, manipulate mathematical formulae and problem-solving skills.

What you need to get on

GCSE Maths at Grade 7 or above Students must also have a minimum of a Grade 5 in GCSE English Language or Literature to study this subject. APS 5.5

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
