Our A Level History course allows students to study three examined units: The Early Stuarts and the Origins of the Civil War 1603 - 1660 Russia 1894 - 1941 Civil Rights in the USA 1865 - 1992 Students will develop critical and reflective thinking, which they demonstrate in an essay exploring a topic of their own choosing.
What you need to get on
Minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above in appropriate subjects, including Grade 5 or above in chosen subject.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
What this level means
The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
