Year 12 Unit 1 – England 1445 – 1509: Lancastrians, Yorkists & Henry VII Unit 2 – Democracy and Dictatorship in Germany Year 13 Unit 3 – Russia and its rulers 1855 – 1964 Unit 4 – Coursework: A 3,000 word essay on a topic of the students choice. The difference between GCSE and A Levels is that at A level, students will need to analyse and evaluate events and make judgements based on evidence. Units will require structured exam questions and one piece of coursework in Year 13.
