Graphic Communications is an exciting, creative and rewarding course that develops skills in the communication of information and ideas or messages by visual means, by the organisation of images and words. The course is delivered through a number of professional style briefs, where the student is encouraged to work within a professional context. The use of information technology within graphic design is key to a professional presentation, and students will be offered a huge range of materials and processes within the subject. Skills developed in Graphic Communication will include designing for advertising or marketing, illustration, ?packaging design and typography. Students wilI be required to work in one or more of the areas and will investigate specific areas of a design problem, determine relevant sources of information and use them to research and define possible solutions, analyse the work of others, use design practice to develop ideas and produce wel -developed final solutions which make strong connections to the work of other artists and esigners. Graphic Communication provides a solid foundation for an extensive range of creative degree courses and professions. Unlike in many other industries, the range of creative job opportunities is increasing. What you need to get on
