What the college says

This course covers a range of tradition and contemporary geographical topics. It is divided into physical and human topics that incorporate a range of areas including coasts, hazards, globalization and social and political geographies. There is a focus on using up to date information which is relevant to the world around us. Alongside this, the full A2 course offers students an opportunity to develop their investigative and analytical skills through an independent investigation. An investigation is also undertaken by those students wanting to study the AS level, however it will be assessed through an exam. Due to the importance of fieldwork to geography, there will be the chance for students to go on a fieldtrip during their first year of study.
