What the college says
This course aims to give you an understanding of the main principles of computer science and the theory exam will cover the fundamentals of programming, data structures, software development, theory of computation, data representation, computer systems, computer organisation and architecture, consequences and uses of computing and communication and networking. You will also develop capability in the use of a programming language in readiness for the practical programming exam and will carry out a practical project to solve a problem of your choice. There is a clear distinction between this course and ICT, so please read both briefs carefully before making your decision.
