A major emphasis of this course is problem solving using computers. You learn how to write programs and develop your algorithmic, mathematical and logical skills. The second strand of this course focuses on the science of computers themselves: how they perform processes internally and how they communicate. If you are good at Maths and Science puzzles and problem solving then Computing may be the subject for you.

What you need to get on

Grade 7 in Computing, and grade 7 in Mathematics and either grade 76 in Double Science or grade 666 in Triple Science. Must have programming experience. As well as these specific requirements you will also need to meet the general entry requirements for the Sixth form - please see website for further details.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
