What the college says

You will be taught how to make informed decisions about your own creative practice, in a culture of experimentation, exploration and critical reflection. You will learn how to use a broad range of art materials and techniques influenced and inspired by the work of contemporary and traditional artists, designers, photographers and any other visual source. The art tutors will expect you to investigate and question your own practice and to take imaginative and creative risks in the artwork you produce. Each individual student will develop their own visual style influenced by the taught workshops. The skills you will develop will be wide and varied with a particular focus on visual and creative perception involving drawing for different purposes and needs. You will be working in the art department in which we have 3 large studios and facilities enabling us to explore intaglio printing, ceramics, photography with studio lighting and digital manipulation using Adobe Photoshop.
