A-level Art allows students to develop an exciting and extensive range of creative and technical skills. Students will also gain a strong understanding of historic and contemporary visual art practice, through supporting contextual studies. Unique to studying Art at A-Level, students will build up a very personal and continually evolving body of practical work, guided and supported by their teachers.

What you need to get on

Grade 9-4 in 5 GCSEs including English. Although desirable, it is not a requirement that you have studied Art before.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
