This course will offer you the opportunity to develop the conceptual, technical and critical skills required to succeed in the creative industries. You will become an innovative and experimental artist/maker and critical thinker. You will be encouraged to explore innovative ways of using a range of media and processes, including print-making, sculpture, photography and time-based media. This course is ideal if you have an interest in Art and wish to gain an A Level qualification.
What you need to get on
To join the A Level programme which consists of 3 full A Levels you will need to be aged 16-18 and have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs passes at grade 5 or higher, including English Language and Mathematics. For the A Level in Fine Art you will also require a GCSE pass at grade 5 or above in Art.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
