Why study this subject? Students will develop personal responses to ideas, observations, experiences, environments and cultures. It gives flexibility to allow students to work from their strengths using a range of media to produce pieces of artwork. These could include photography, sculpture, printing, painting and many others. A strong foundation for further study of Art and Design, or related subjects, in higher education.
What you need to get on
At least 5 GCSE grade 4 or above preferably including an arts subject.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
